Detoxify, hydrate, and nourish your skin with a luxurious full body wrap treatment.

A body wrap is the closest thing to being put inside a high tech cocoon for your skin. The treatment starts with a nourishing layer of clay, mud, seaweed, or herbal paste being applied across your entire body. Then you're swaddled in warm linens and a thermal blanket that hold everything in place. For the next 20 to 30 minutes, your skin essentially absorbs concentrated minerals, antioxidants, and moisture while gentle warmth coaxes your body into a state of pure detox mode bliss.
The wrap formulation we use depends on what your skin needs. We have a few favorites at our Saddle Brook spa:
This treatment has roots that go back literally thousands of years. Cleopatra famously used mud wraps for her skin. European spa towns have built entire industries around seaweed thalassotherapy. Maori healers used clay wraps for their healing properties. The science is the same now as then: trap concentrated active ingredients against the skin in a warm, occlusive environment, and you get absorption and results that no at home product can match.
The session begins with a light exfoliation to prep your skin so the wrap formula can absorb fully. If you want a deeper polish first, you can add a full body scrub as a pre wrap. Once your skin is prepped, your therapist will apply the wrap mixture in long, smooth strokes across every section of your body. Then you'll be wrapped snugly in warm linens and a thermal blanket, with just your head exposed.
This is when the magic happens. For the next 20 to 30 minutes, you'll be in a warm cocoon while the active ingredients absorb into your skin. Most clients find this phase deeply meditative, like being swaddled as a baby. Many fall asleep. Some therapists offer a complimentary scalp or facial massage during this period, which adds another layer of indulgence. When the wrap comes off, your therapist gently cleanses your skin and applies a finishing layer of moisturizer. The result is skin that looks visibly brighter, feels noticeably softer, and stays hydrated for days.
This is the treatment to book before any major event where you want your skin looking and feeling its absolute best, weddings, beach vacations, photo shoots, anniversaries. It's also a smart pick for anyone with chronically dry skin (especially during a Bergen County winter), people recovering from sun damage, and anyone craving a detox style spa treatment. If you've been spending all your time in heated indoor air this winter, this will basically rescue your skin. Saddle Brook clients love combining a body wrap with our steam sauna for the ultimate detox afternoon, or following with a Swedish Massage for total mind body reset. Visitors come from across Bergen County, including Garfield, Lodi, Hackensack, Maywood, Fair Lawn, Paramus, Rochelle Park, and Elmwood Park, specifically for our body wrap menu.
